Hi, I'm Paul McDonald from The Doctor Lawyer Team, and I want to talk to you about policy limits. The Doctor Lawyer Team has a personal injury firm devoted to helping clients navigate the insurance process after they've been involved in a car, truck, or motorcycle or even pedestrian accident.
So, what are our policy limits? In short, it's the maximum amount insurance companies are going to pay on a claim. You might hear 25/50, for example, or 50/100, or 100/250, or even 250/500. What that means is they're talking about the smaller mobile number, that means that's how the maximum amount of insurance company's going to pay for any one particular victim. So, if it's 25/50, the most they pick for any one victim is 25, up to 25,000. The 50 is how much they would pay for the total accident. So, if there's more than one victim, the maximum amount of coverage under that policy would be $50,000. So, 25/50, they're somewhat common in Connecticut, more common is 50 or 100, and we also see a lot particularly Fairfield County 250, and with the maximum out of 500,000 if there's more than one victim.
