Connecticut Personal Injury Attorney Explains the Causes of Pedestrian Accidents

Hi, I'm Paul McCollum from The Doctor Lawyer Team, and I'm going to talk to you about pedestrian accidents. The Doctor Lawyer Team is a personal injury firm devoted to helping clients navigate the insurance process after they've been involved in a car, truck, motorcycle accident, for example, or pedestrian accident, for that matter. We're seeing more and more pedestrian accidents. The primary reason is because there's more and more distracted drivers. You think about it, people go driving down the road, maybe you've done it yourself or you know, somebody that has, you think I just gonna take this one text or it'll be really short, and just like that, they swerve or you swerve and you lose control.

Even if you don't completely lose control, you get out of your lane, and that's where pedestrian accidents occur. Another common or another reason we think that there's more and more pedestrian accidents is because more and more towns are adding walkways. Used to be when I was younger, if you're my age, that all the walkways were at the corners, at intersections, but now, now, more towns are adding them where there's where there's popular pathways, and they're just in the middle of roads and they may be well marked. And if you're from the area, you may be familiar with them, but remember, a lot of drivers aren't from the area. And even when they're well marked, be careful when you're crossing because cars might not be paying attention to you. So, stay safe out there when you're walking but also when you're driving for the sake of others.

And if you are in an accident, involved in a pedestrian accident or any kind, call 911. Call a personal injury attorney. Call us at the number below. We're built differently. Join the team.
